Worship
Prayer at Beth Shalom is warm, musical, and participatory. Our services follow the Conservative liturgy in Hebrew, with English readings and transliteration so everyone can take part.

Shabbat Services
Kabbalat Shabbat
Fridays at 6:15 pm, followed by an oneg with challah and dessert
Shabbat morning
Saturdays at 9:30 am, followed by Kiddush lunch
Tot Shabbat
the first Saturday of each month at 10:30 am, for children under six and their grown ups
Havdalah
monthly on Saturday evenings, with times listed in our weekly email
Weekday Minyan
Our daily minyan helps mourners say Kaddish and keeps the rhythm of prayer through the week. We meet Monday and Thursday at 7:00 am, Sunday at 9:00 am, and Monday through Thursday evenings at 7:30 pm. Coffee and bagels follow the morning services.
The High Holy Days
Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur bring our whole community together. Seats are included with membership. First-time visitors and students may request complimentary seats by contacting the office in August. We also offer a family service for young children and a teen service led by our b'nai mitzvah graduates.
Festivals Through the Year
We celebrate Sukkot in the congregational sukkah, read the Megillah in costume on Purim, and host a community second night seder at Passover. On Shavuot we gather for a late night study session and blintzes.
What to Expect
- Dress ranges from business casual to formal. Wear what feels respectful to you.
- Kippot and tallitot are available at the sanctuary entrance.
- Please silence phones on Shabbat and holidays.
- Greeters at the door will help you find a seat and a prayer book.
Children are welcome in every service. A little noise is a sign of a living congregation.
"I worried I would not know what to do. The person next to me pointed to the page for the whole service." (Sarah K.)
